Chemistry of Conservation - Restoration

brings up university-educated specialists with general knowledge of chemistry disciplines (inorganic, organic, analytical and physical chemistry) who also gain insights into materials and methods in conservation and restoration of objects of cultural heritage. The aim of the study is to educate specialists who are able to diagnose damage of materials (while observing professional ethics), suggest suitable procedures and materials for their conservation and restoration, keep appropriate documentation. They will get complementary knowledge of museology and history of arts, they will learn to be a part of conservation-restoration team. Thanks to knowledge of individual objects of cultural heritage, these specialists are able to suggest solutions of protection for complex collections.
