Department of Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University was established in 2008 by merging the original chemistry-oriented institutes (analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, and organic chemistry). The Department is located in the recently built University Campus in Brno - Bohunice.
Research
Our research covers all main fields of chemistry. Our scientists collaborate with Czech and foreign academic institutions and companies, and publish their results in well-recognized scientific journals.

Education
We provide education in bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs in chemistry. We prepare our students for careers in both the public and private sectors.

Service
We offer services for internal and external users; specifically: mass-spectrometric analysis, NMR and X-ray diffraction measurements, gas porosimetry, and thermal analysis.
